DEL PARKINSON - PIANO CELEBRATION
Pianist Del Parkinson will grace the CSI stage for an evening of music and reflection honoring the famous Hungarian composer, Franz Liszt. In his presentation, My Favorite Liszt, Parkinson will feature some of Liszt's best-known works while simultaneously incorporating visual images to dramatize the composer's life story. Accompanying narration will traverse his fascinating formative years, a formidable performing career, an astonishing shift to composition, and a startling religious devotion in his reflective years.
Franz Liszt was a master showman and one of the greatest piano virtuosos of all time. He is a "perennial favorite of audiences around the world, and the selections on this program epitomize the quintessential nature of his astonishing style."
Del Parkinson has recorded seven CDs and is featured on the international roster of Steinway artists.
