ANNA KARENINA - CSI THEATER

By Helen Edmundson. Adapted from the novel by Leo Tolstoy.
In this adaptation of Tolstoy’s timeless classic, Anna Karenina, Edmundson weaves the lives of Anna and Levin together, starting with Anna’s poignant remark, “This is my story,” to which Levin responds, “It seems to be mine, too.” Anna, trapped in a dull marriage to Governor Karenin, finds herself torn when she meets the charming officer Vronsky. The story also delves into the troubled marriage of her brother and the ups and downs of Kitty and Levin’s courtship. As Anna’s journey leads to tragedy and Levin grows toward maturity, the play explores themes of love, loss, and the search for fulfillment.
