MARK & MAGGIE O'CONNOR
Mark O’Connor is a product of America's rich aural folk tradition and classical music. He began his creative journey at the feet of American fiddling legend Benny Thomasson, and iconic French jazz violinist Stéphane Grappelli. Over the years, he has melded these influences into his own new American classical music, winning three Grammys, seven CMA awards and several national fiddle, guitar and mandolin champion titles.
Maggie O’Connor is an acclaimed musician as well, entertaining audiences in a variety of musical styles, both as a violinist/fiddler and vocalist. She has performed at prestigious venues all over the world, such as the Leopold Auer Festival in Hungary and the Yehudi Menuhin Centennial celebration in Berlin.
Together, Mark and Maggie have been existing in an uninterrupted musical collaboration since they first met ten years ago. Join them for an evening of music and celebration of their newest project, Life After Life, which reveals the pair’s most sincere and deeply personal work yet.
